Welcome to North Carolina
From the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Atlantic, the Tar Heel state and New Bern convey an exceptional place to call
home. Conveniently located in a mid-Atlantic state, New Bern is also centrally sited alongside NC's coastal waters.
A mild four season climate, relatively low costs of living and diverse housing opportunities within a recreationally
oriented community, place New Bern and Carolina Colours in an enviable position for raising families, seasonal escapes
and active retirement living.
Master Planned Community
Carolina Colours strives to meet the diverse needs of many, including those desiring a retirement community, a family
community and a seasonal or second home community. The pedestrian-friendly community encompasses a mix of land uses
including public spaces, retail and recreational, alongside traditional and New Urbanism, TND style walkable residential
neighborhoods. Utilizing the natual topography, creeks, lakes, and mature forests, the thoughtful land plan delivers both
seclusion and convenience, enriching and simplifying life's daily work, play and shop schedule.
When planning the community, Carolina Creek LLC, the developer of Carolina Colours, established three objectives relating
- Create a fun to play course for all handicap levels
- Create an aesthetically pleasing, environmentally sound layout
- Accomplish the above goals with affordable golf club equity membership and dues
Golf Course Architect
"The Carolina Colours Golf Course responsibly preserves the intimate relationship between course, land, waterways and wildlife habitat" --Bill Love
William R. Love was selected as course architect. Bill is highly respected among his peers and known for designing
courses that naturally complement the land, the diverse play of golfers and the organizational programs of golf clubs.
Bill's passion for the land has driven him to invest significant
time walking the Carolina Colours property defining the perimeter of
the course and discerning its natural features. Bill is hands-on,
personally completing all design and field work.
Bill believes golfing should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience, presenting challenges commensurate with
each player's skill level. Carefully varying each tee location allows each player to determine their level of challenge.
Tees from 7000 to 5000 yards tailor the course to your game. The course offers a variety of scenic fairways, some open, some carved from
within the forest, and others alongside Brice Creek and its neighboring wetlands. Golf at Carolina Colours will accomodate
the young and limber backed, as well as the more mature 20+ handicapper. The Carolina Colours Golf Course is an
exceptional venue, challenging and fun for everyone who plays.
